Slawter takes her place among high achieving women as the spotlight on gender diversity in the supply chain industry continues to power progress
September 16, 2024 – Odyssey Logistics, a global leader in logistics and technology solutions, is proud to announce that Barbara Slawter, president of Odyssey Tank Intermodal, has been named a recipient of the 2024 Women in Supply Chain Award from Supply & Demand Chain Executive. This accolade adds a new milestone to her 25-year career as she continues to bring prominent change as a leader in the logistics and transportation industry.

Since joining Odyssey in 2019, Slawter has consistently delivered high-quality solutions for complex transportation challenges. Under her leadership, her team helps customers enhance supply chain resilience, reduce costs and cut emissions by up to 50% compared to traditional transport methods.
A strong advocate for women’s advancement in the supply chain industry, Slawter leads a team at Odyssey that is 90% women. Now in its fifth year, Supply & Demand Chain Executive honors female leaders and executives with the Women in Supply Chain awards. This award acknowledges women in the industry whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women at every level of supply chain organizations.
